| Recently while hiking just outside boston i saw a snake that i am unfamiliar with. I came ontop of a large rock and saw the underside of the snake on a nearby rockpile. I must have scared him because he seemed to roll into almost a ball. I did not see the head but the body was solid black and the belly was solid white. I also could not see any pattern on it. I could not tell the exact length but it looked close to 3 feet. I know the usual suspects like the garter and water snakes but did not recognize this one. The closest body of water was probably more than 250 yards away. It was raining yesterday and today overcast and not very warm. |
