| I was boating with my family (wife Becky, and daughter, Mae) in fall 2007 on Sloan Lake near Denver. It was mid-afternoon, cloudy. The wind had picked up. a large grey hump, perhaps six feet long, surfaced to the right of our bow. My daughter, Mae, started pointing and chattering. the hump, about a foot across, disappeared into the water and about a second later, a slim black tail kicked up from hehind it, perhaps a four feet from the original surfacing sight. We hailed captains on two other boats to see it, but it was too late -- no one else saw it. Becky has had some dreams about it, and Mae talks about it constantly. We feeled blessed to have seen it -- whatever it was. |
