| During the summer of 2006, I was traveling through the Flat Gap area of Johnson County Kentucky. As the car I was traveling in crested the top of a large hill I saw a bird fly across the road in front of me and land on a tree. The bird was white, black, with a patch of red on its head, its long bill was a white color. At first I thought nothing of it, until a search of the internet showed me that apparently these birds are rather rare. I saw this, or another ivory-bill twice more over this summer. |
