Very colorful bug
posted by Jeremy Lafarga80@aol.com on December 24, 2006
This happened a number of months ago(July '06)and I was hoping someone here could help me. I was walking up to the house (northwestern Indiana if it helps) and felt something on my hand, so I looked down at it and there was a bug on my finger. It was less than a 1/2 inch long and was quite colorful. Most of the insect was yellow, and it had black lines that seperated the rest of the colors, almost like a stained glass window. It had smaller sections that ran down its back, and were lime green, red, purple, and blue. It was one of the prettiest insects I've ever seen, but it flew off before I could get to a camera. I've tried looking in a few encyclopedias and bug books and on the internet and I have even asked a few friends that have rather extensive bug collections, but so far, nothing has turned up. Thanks.
