| I was up in buffalo last weekend because my wife and I were visiting relatives( and we went to see Anderson cooper speak at UB.) I had never been to Niagara Falls before so we decided to make the 15 minute drive and I am glad we did. Even on a cloudy very cold and windy day it was still beautiful. We were around the gift shop where you can see the American and horseshoe falls, and seagulls were everywhere. I look down at the rocks and saw an actual Albatross screeching and flapping its wings at something in the water. I look a little to the left of the rocks the Albatross was on and something was porpoising toying wth the smaller gulls and making the albatross very angry. After i tried to point it out to my wife and son, it jumped up and dove into the water, from which i did not see it reappear. It definitely ddn't have any noticeable appendages (as i was so far above them,)However I would say it looked most like a Giant River Otter. It was a darker black than the black on the wings of the albatross and it was easly twice as big as the albatross was as well. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. |
