| Well, this story happened quite a long time ago, but I am still adament about what I saw. I think I was about six or seven at the time. I was at my grandparents house and they had a big, I mean huge! Rhodedendron bush under their living room window. It was more like a tree than a bush. They had bird feeders that fed the birds out there, so I was sent there to fill the feeders back up. As I was walking with the bird seed, on the concrete walkway, movement by my feet caught my eye. I looked down to see I had almost stepped on a white snake it was startled and it started to move really fast. I looked to see where it was going, and it went down into a hole by the rhodedendron bushes trunk. The only species of snakes we have around where I live are garter snakes, so thats most likely what it was that I saw. I tried to catch it but it was far too fast for me. It was so long ago, I dont remember if it had pink eyes or not. The only thing I can think of was that I stumbled upon an albino garter snake sunning itself on the concrete walk way and then scared it off. Havent seen a white snake since then unfortunatley and believe me after that I was always excited to go and feed the birds in case the snake was there again! It looked to be roughly the size of an adult garter snake. Still dont know why it chose to live under a tree where stellars jays other large birds came to eat, but it did. Just thought I would share this account with you guys on cryptozoology.com. It probably wasnt an unknown or undiscovered creature, but, it in my book was a rare sighting. |
