Tatzelworm


People living in the Swiss, Bavarian, and Austrian Alps have repotted for centuries eluse creatures known locally as the tatzelworm.It is said to be a hole-dwelling creature about4-5 feet long.Whilemost reports say it has a catlike head, reports differ in the number of legs, some saying it only has paws in the front, others saying it also has back legs, and some have been reported as having no legs.In 1921, a tatzelworm allegedly leaped at a herdsman and a poacher, who left promptly. People have reported it even as far south as Sicily, where in 1954, several farmers reported a long serpent with a cat's head and forelegs attacking their pigs. Although these creatures have been supposedly been shot on several occasions,zooligists have yet to recieve a body for identification. Some zooligists say it could be an undiscovered skink.
