Old Yellow Top |
|
Several times in the last century in Ontario, there have been reports of a large Bigfoot-like animal known as Old Yellow Top for the mane of yellow hair on its head. It is said to be about 7 feet tall and is mostly black, except for its lightly colored head hair. The most recent sighting was in 1970 when one nearly caused a bus to crash. They have also been seen in 1906, 1923, and 1946. Other areas have their own variety of Old Yellow Top, such as Ohio's "Orange Eyes" and Indiana's "Fluorescent Freddie". Some (or even most or all) sightings of this mystery primate may just be localized pranks. Cryptozoologists Loren Coleman and Patrick Huyghe classify Old Yellow Top as a "Marked Hominid" in their book "The Field Guide to Bigfoot, Yeti, and other Mystery Primates Worldwide". A Marked Hominid (Named after Mark Hall) is defined as a medium-large upright primate that is often dark in color with a light mane or patch of fur. - entry provided by Jonathan, jksept21@svol.net
