Neanderthal Posted by Musi on Mon, Nov 20 2006, 10:07pm This is the most muscular looking Neanderthal picture that I have been able to locate, but I suspect that, given Neanderthal's reported extremely protein-rich diet and muscle attachments that are 50% larger than modern humans, it likely does not do justice to Neanderthal -- many steroid-free bodybuilders are more massive. Anyone interested in what can be achieved by modern humans with "supplementation" should google the current Mr. Olympia, Jay Cutler. Does anyone have a better picture or the time to produce an illustration that shows how a truly massive Neanderthal might look?

Sorry, but that is not true, the most recent reconstructions show Neanderthals very human-like, in fact they did not look very different from modern humans. It is very sure they had clothes in fact there are no cloth-relics of early stone-age homo-sapiens too and their faces would not differ very much from some modern fellows.

the latest data on neanderthals is that they were probably covered in fur, there have never been clothing discoveries with neanderthal bodies. they also had no neck or chin. the image is too human.
