Thylacoleo

This is a photoshop/illustrator drawing of what thylacoleo carnifex might look like if it had a black coat, like a jaguar or leopard sometimes has. This time it is a size friendy image. Yarri

Eager McBeaver, the goofy little cartoon cat down Looney Lane! *plays some ridiculous sound effects*

I like animals and people to be alive and not specimens. We are not specimens unless we see the world with dead eyes. Last time I checked I have a pulse.

I would love to see a living specimen. This would be one interesting looking animal.

Striking in black. I always model my reconstructions on leopard and quoll colouration. Green eyes always seem to suit them, adds a sense of mystery.

Hey,
Does this mean that Thylacoleo could -probably- be the "so called" alien cat??Hey, it is just an opinion, i work only in spirits and and aliens but also concertrate in bigfoot ,mothman and nessie. I do not know much for the "alien cats".
Maybe someone mistook this prehistoric friend for alien...

Thylacoleo Carnifex did indeed exist, and was the marsupial equal to a big cat. Recent study proves that it had the strongest bite of any mammal, ever. The youngest fossils date from only 6 thousand years ago-even though the general age given for their extinction is around 30 thousand years ago. Analysis of the first complete skeleton recently found shows that this animal was indeed a convergent example of "big cats", even though its closest relatives are koalas amd wombats. The cheek teeth became meat slicing blades, and the incisors became the killing sabre teeth, instead if the canines. Does it still live? In my opinion, yes. I think it is the animal called the Queensland Tiger, and other assorted cat-like creatures reported from the mainland of Australia. Yarri
