Does anyone know why there are two totally different civil war pterodactyl pictures with different groups of people both attached to the story of being made up by Freaky Links for their TV show, with the model now resting with Coleman.
The creature in them looks totally different as so the soildiers in them. Anyone know the story on this? Heres links to the two different pics.

first there are sveral differences in the 2 versions of the same pic, one has what looks like a side view maybe, with something, possibly part of a wing that partially obscure the legs of the man on the farthest right. Also, if it was an origonal civil war picture tattered and worn from age, they would all have the same white spots and torn edges, not like these two, which have been photoshopped to look older. The other pic has the soldiers and terrasaur superimposed into an old picture, the shadowing isn't right if they were taken together. |

There is yet a third version I found on another site, similar, but quite different, if that makes any sense. I can't seem to paste the picture, but here's where it is: http://paranormal.about.com/od/othercreatures/ig/Gallery-of-Monsters/Pterosaur-w ith-Soldiers.htm
Now,how is that? A HUGE, completely different pterodactyl and possibly different soldiers, but the same basic arrangement? The wear pattern is completely different, too, I think. Was there a pterodactyl photoshop SEMINAR? What are your opinions? Ladymeg |

Sorry, I was mistaken. In the third Pterodactyl picture I found, http://paranormal.about.com/od/othercreatures/ig/Gallery-of-Monsters/Pte rosaur-with-Soldiers.htm thewear pattern on the photo is identical to the first of the photos here. But the picture is quite different. How would they do this? And why? Thank you, Meg |

One simple explanation is that one is the known staged photo for Freaky Links, and the other is something else. Whether real or not, I think the actual photo would have to be studied, as too much is subject to interpretation in the digital transfer of images (especially if it really is old!). Since no one seems to know what happened to the photo, I doubt we will ever know, but it's fun to think about, isn't it? |
