We have peacocks running wild around here. One hung out with the turkey flock by my dad's house for a couple days, then realized that wasn't going to work and took off. When I was in high school, I was blasting out in the country in my 84 Supra and came upon a peacock in the middle of an S-corner and had to go into a fishtailing powerslide to get around it. Prettiest invasive species I've come across, I think. |

There's been a domesticated peacock roaming around a street near to where my g/f lives for years. It can be a it disconcerting to hear a sudden, loud peacock call coming down the road when you're walking home in the general silence of 2am. |

That would be more disconshiteing than disconcerting. |

Not quite as bad as mating cats or fox cubs playfighting, but close. |

We have inherited a peacock when we moved into this house. His name is Oscar Wilde. In the mornings he comes flying out of his favourite tree and eats walnuts from our hands. And yes he is very very loud. |

My neighbor has some peacocks and I will have to agree to their loudness. Beautiful birds though. |
