I've only just stumbled upon this site, and thought I would try my luck in seeking information upon something which I witnessed, whilst inside the grounds of a convent in 1994.
It's late, and I feel silly writing this, so I am going to be brief. But my friend and I, whilst chilling out with a beer, resting in what we later discovered to be the centre of a crucifix shaped garden, witnessed three cats, about a hundres metres away from ourselves, standing on their hind legs,(In The 3 Minutes We Were Watching Them They Never Went Onto All Fours) walking in a circle, as at I guess were 5 second intervals, 2 of the cats would simultaneously leap through the air, and pass each other in the middle of the circle.
Does anybody know if this is normal behaviour for cats? I've never seen anything like it since, and it's never escaped my mind.
Nobody mock me please, I know its ridiculous. Thanks in advance for any replies. |

sounds to me like a typical cat fight. cats circle each other, leap at one another etc and they'll go on for long periods on time if undisturbed |
