Subject: Re: Horrible cameras produce horrible quality images

Hi Nyar -
In 1963 the LNI did film a long object just off shore on the opposite side of the loch. JARIC estimated this object to be 17 feet long. If memory serves this was before the LNI had the 2 long-range camera rigs, so the footage was inconclusive. The LNI took other footage over the years, but most of it was either identified as waterfowl, wakes, and what not, or was too inconclusive too be of any value as evidence.

As much as the lack of results from the LNI troubles me, on the other hand it wasn't until the 80's that it was established that seals get into the loch. And I'm pretty sure the first photo/video evidence of grey seals in the loch wasn't until the early 90's. So if the LNI's decade of surveillance missed the seals, it's at least possible they missed LNM's.

Also a number of the investigators did have unexplained sightings of things in the loch with Nessie-like characteristics (humps and vertical pole/pillar shapes). This includes both LNI members and members of the University expeditions in 60-62.
