yep
Just yesterday I read that all of these budget decisions were made at a luxury resort in Jackson Hole which the trustee's traveled to in their private jets. UGH.
I think this situation, with the museums and the firings, is going to bite the university in the face. Laramie is a small town, with the nearest town being around a hour away. Letting go 45 people with no warning and in one mass meeting, and taking away the museum, a major tourist attraction and a favorite with local school children, is a slap in the face too residents. I would not be surprised if we don't see the city respond by changing zoning ordinances to get rid of parking for students, or fight some of the private development the school is angling for on it's property |
