Well that's odd. I've been here 7 years and counting and I post what I feel like posting. When it comes to Bigfoot and his buddies, my info is in my profile, and as you can see it has NEVER changed, even after all this time.

I'm wondering why you are bringing this up 2 years after the fact? ZZ has NEVER put you down in any way, shape, or form on this forum. She feels sorry that you were conned with the rest of us, and that's about it.

P.S. You really should keep personal things between yourselves. It's very tacky to be posting personal things without permission (and IIRC it's also grounds for Libel)

PJ, the fact this post is still up speaks volumes about our forum and Cisco. I for one don't believe one word of this post and if anything just makes me have an even lower opinion of bigfoot researchers than before. Short of a soap opera I have never seen much that would compare to the back-stabbing and in-fighting that goes on with these people. Cryptozoology should be science, not science fiction.

Red, you're not alone on that. There are some people who seriously search for cryptids and other anomalies, and even though their subject matter might be questionable, they can be taken seriously.

But when I read MaryGs post, it took my breath away. Cryptozoology has been reduced to a soap opera. The subject matter causes enough eyebrows to be raised without this type of stuff.

It's like clock work. Every 8 months or so. Like some sort of story mill it just keeps producing the same gunk over and over.

It's like waiting for your toilet to clog up. And produces just about the same mess.

Agreed. I think we need a new BF Scandal. Bill, it's time we join Tom Biscardi and make something beautiful happen......wait I wrote "new" didn't I? Time to call SciFi channel for a new Pilot.

....it's time we join Tom Biscardi....

Not until we suffer significant brain damage. Without that, we couldn't keep a straight face during the press conferences.

I guess we could stand behind him and make faces at the camera. That would be fun.

"the fact this post is still up speaks volumes about our forum and Cisco."

I agree.

"I for one don't believe one word of this post"

Well, some of the things she said are true, but much of it she has mixed up, and there are some things that are flat out untrue.

"and if anything just makes me have an even lower opinion of bigfoot researchers than before. Short of a soap opera I have never seen much that would compare to the back-stabbing and in-fighting that goes on with these people."

Yep. Im glad I stayed out of most of it.
My trip to Marys was to see for myself. It seemed to me that the best chances of proving existence would come from habituations, and there were 2 habituations going on very close to eachother.
In one case the researcher simply needed to believe so badly that easily explained phenomena was construed as BS activity, and in the other case the perpetrator was a hoaxer.
So my hope for proof via habituations vanished as I realized that true believers will believe despite evidence to the contrary, and hoaxers exist for more reasons than just a big joke.

"Cryptozoology should be science, not science fiction."

Yep.

I also have to add this PJ. After reading Mary's post again, I think the bigfoot community has filled the void left by E.B.'s passing.

"I'm wondering why you are bringing this up 2 years after the fact?"

Good question.
Not getting enough attention?
Or does my humble opinion actually count that much in her life, or carry that much wieght with her friends in the BS community?
Hmmmm........

"ZZ has NEVER put you down in any way, shape, or form on this forum."

Thank you so much for pointing that out PJ.
If she would actually read what I said rather than have one of her friends interpret it for her, she would have seen that, and this never would have happened.

"She feels sorry that you were conned with the rest of us, and that's about it."

Yes, I did feel bad for her. Back when I cared about my relationship with her.
She has now made it very easy to no longer care.

"P.S. You really should keep personal things between yourselves."

I agree. If she has a beef with me she should have contacted me. She has my phone number.

"It's very tacky to be posting personal things without permission (and IIRC it's also grounds for Libel)"

It is? Well, I wouldnt sue her for anything she says here, its not like I actually care what anyone I dont know thinks of me, and my friends actually know better anyway :)

Wow.
You know what just hit me?
Maybe she wants me to say that I did see a BS and back her up on her claim that she is habituating them? Validate her in some way?
Hmmm........

Ive been trying to figure out why she would post this tripe, especially 4 years after the fact. It just doesnt make sense.
Maybe I should go smoke some more pot, see if it muddles my head enough to understand this.
