I allowed you to use my equipment and I went to Nashville Airpot twice in order for you to get here. I told you I had a small place and you would have to sleep on the couch. You said that was ok but complained and my son even gave up his room for you.
No matter how bad I felt or how tired, I did all of the cooking and most of the dishwashing, except for one night and still ran you all over TN as per your request.
I asked you to abide by some rules while out in order to guarantee your safety. There are much more dangerous things in these TN mountains than the bigfoot you seek. They will not harm you but you do have to respect them.
You have let it be believed that I was in on some kind of hoax on the Carter Case. I researched it and did a great job presenting all of the information I was told concerning this case from Janice Carter herself and other family members and friends. I saw enough proof to believe a lot of what she said. I later found out Ms. Carter was not as honest as she claimed, and I said from the beginning, if I ever caught her hoaxing I would tell it and I did so on my own web site and the UBRG public forum.
I will not stand still always and allow others to call me a hoax so blatantly as you did. I had nothing to do with your trip to Janice. After I went out of my way using my money and my film and my camera and making you VHS tapes at my expense of all the film you made and all of it that I made while you were here. I sent you complete copies of them so you could have them to enjoy and view about your trip here to TN.
It is not my fault Janice lied to you or moved out of state and I knew NOTHING of your trip there until you let me know you were supposed to be there. Later on, after you contacted me, I was called by Janice for me to contact you and let you know she had to move out of state to do research in Indiana. It had been months since I had anything to do with Janice Carter so I was surprised by the call, but since I already had told you she had moved away, I did not contact you again. If this is breaking a friendship, I guess it is.
What I did break my friendship with you over was your hiding many things you said and did while here. You were rude and impatient and wanted me to drive you into a "wet" county to get you alcohol. You asked me if you could smoke "pot" in my private home. I told you absolutely NO. Since you seemed to be in withdrawal so badly, I did drive you to Jackson Co. to get your alcohol for you. I had no idea if you would go into withdrawal and get sick on me. You insisted I do everything the way you wanted and I told you that some of the things you were doing might be dangerous. By this I mean you SAYING you saw two bigfoot on that one road at night and wanted to go feed them two bags of your foods you had bought at the store for them. I told you the only way I would let you do that just in case you got frightened or threatened, is if I started the car and kept my head lights on you until you were through throwing out food to them and talking to them. YES, you talked to them, so I figured you saw something??? I have the eyes filmed and I have you filmed talking to them.
One night I was so tired I had my son John drive us. We asked you NOT to walk too far from the car late at night like that, as again, there are bears, elk, and cougars there, along with packs of wild dogs that run with coyotes which can be very dangerous for you. Well, you said you were going to walk up the road a short way. We waited about twenty minutes and could not find you. We had to find you about a mile down the lake road standing there "talking" to the bigfoot you said you had seen and heard up on the mountain a short ways. You SAID you saw them. So what am I to think now that you say you saw nothing. I SAW NOTHING, I only heard you say YOU saw something. We both saw the eyeshine of two upright, bipedal beings coming towards my car when I called to them. I do have some bg's that will come for food after spending years earning their trust. I don't care who thinks there are no bigfoot in TN, as there certainly are, and many and most folks I have taken out HAVE had encounters with them and seen them and filmed them. But what kind of crazy thing do you think that was to do is to wander off a mile away from safety if you were threatened by a pack of the wild dogs in the area or other creatues, including rattlesnakes and many copperheads that do bite at night, especially the rattlers.
That is exactly what you heard when you say you heard a bunch of growling for other vocalizations for over 30 minutes WAS a pack of wild dogs and coyotes known to be in that are a lot. It was nothing more than a pack of coyotes and wild dogs fighting! My goodness!
I could go on and especially about you efforts to approach the bigfoot without clothes on. I mean whatever floats a bigfoot researchers boat is fine with me as long as they are not endangering themselves or I have to see them naked. At least you had the decency to walk up the road a ways before you took your clothes off, and neither did I seek you out because of that. I don't need to see others naked and especially those I know little about. I just hope you did not get too many tick bites and mosquito bites.
I do think you are sincere. I do think you made a great effort but you cannot expect to do much in a two week time period. My main efforts were concentrated on keeping you safe and yet give you the chance to see one. You got angry when Sherry Malin saw a pair of eyes back in there deep one night when you wanted to go because you wanted to smoke and I do not tolerate smoke in my vehicle, as I am allergic to it. I waited until Sherry had filmed and ran it back and there were two big eyes looking at us up on the woods a ways. The eyes were too big for dogs, cats, but maybe a bear or a bigfoot? I don't know and neither do you.
That is what bigfoot research is all about. Watching, waiting, being quiet and filming, note taking, recording vocalizations and keeping a record of everything you do if that is your desire. I didn't see you with any pad and pencil.

Well that's odd. I've been here 7 years and counting and I post what I feel like posting. When it comes to Bigfoot and his buddies, my info is in my profile, and as you can see it has NEVER changed, even after all this time.

Red, you're not alone on that. There are some people who seriously search for cryptids and other anomalies, and even though their subject matter might be questionable, they can be taken seriously.
But when I read MaryGs post, it took my breath away. Cryptozoology has been reduced to a soap opera. The subject matter causes enough eyebrows to be raised without this type of stuff.

Yep. Im glad I stayed out of most of it. My trip to Marys was to see for myself. It seemed to me that the best chances of proving existence would come from habituations, and there were 2 habituations going on very close to eachother. In one case the researcher simply needed to believe so badly that easily explained phenomena was construed as BS activity, and in the other case the perpetrator was a hoaxer. So my hope for proof via habituations vanished as I realized that true believers will believe despite evidence to the contrary, and hoaxers exist for more reasons than just a big joke.

i can tell you that it is not possible for every single member here to be part of the same lying con. many people here are posting their true opinions and what they honestly recall of any personal cryptid encounters every single time. it is therefore a bit insulting to imply that the hominid forum (or the whole site) is full of liars and people pretending to be believers.
her account is only 2 days old, and i have no idea what incidents with ZZ she is referring to. it's pretty shameful to write a whole post slamming someone when you yourself appear to be hiding under a new forum identity with no history at all.

The only time I was away from you for 20 minutes was an afternoon going into evening when you and I were there alone, your son was not with us, you were picking up walnuts off the ground, and I walked down the road a ways to sit and listen to the forest. I heard normal forest sounds until you started honking the horn, then I got up and went back to your car.

Well, its good to know that’s all it was. Standing there listening to it was kinda hard to determine what it was.

LOL! As a researcher I had an idea. The idea was that perhaps it was our clothing that caused the BSs to stay away from us. So, with this in mind, before my trip to see you I purchased clothing that was as close to my skin color as I could get. That day I walked up the road and took off my shirt as an experiment to see if the BSs might feel more comfortable, maybe even get close enough for me to see them. The only thing that got close to me was a large black ant.

I was never angry the entire time I was there. Once again you place your own emotions on others. I had a wonderful time just being in the forest.

I was even amused when you and Sherry insisted that the BSs were throwing pebbles at us, when it was very apparent that it was the wind blowing tree parts to the ground, and when you said that pile of dirt was made by the BSs, then became disgruntled when I showed you the mound was made by a gopher. Oh, and when you and Sherry and your son saw a white BS where I saw nothing more that a white barked tree. That was when I realized that your experience in the outdoors was limited, and that you want to believe there are BSs in your area so badly that you will invent BS activity despite evidence to the contrary.

Actually, I did believe in them for a very long time. The trip I made to see you, and the time we spent with Janice is why I don’t believe they exist anywhere people live anymore. I still hope for their existence, but if they do exist, it is only in the most inaccessible reaches of the Pacific North Coast. There are certainly no BSs in Tennessee or any area where people live within a hundred miles.

LOL! Well, I actually only drink when I dont have pot ;) I do like fast food, especially when cooking becomes a hassle as it was in Marys small apartment. I truly dont like doing dishes, but I honestly dont remember if I did any dishes at Marys or not, but I do recall hanging up her laundry, making her bed, and keeping my mess picked up so it didnt intrude on her home. Taking off my shirt to try and make the BSs comfortable was an experiment, not something that was supposed to be public knowledge, but oh well.....

I have no idea what Mary is talking about concerning this website. I know that you and I have had some interesting, but cordial exchanges about my skepticism concerning BF. I've never met you, but I think that anyone to say that you don't believe in Bf hasn't challenged your beliefs LOL
When I first came to CZ I believed in BF wholeheartedly. I have never seen one, despite my belief and desire to see one. Then I learned that there were people who were habituating them, and I knew that the habituations had the best chance of proving their existence, and the best chance for me to see one for myself. So I went to an area where there were 2 habituations happening very close to eachother. I did everything I could think of to draw them out so I could see them, but all I saw were normal forest creatures and a few unexplained anomalies.
In the end it was my experiences there that caused me to change my opinion. Now I no longer believe that BF exist anywhere humans live. I still hope for their existence, and they actually SHOULD exist, but if they do, it is only where there are no humans.
I used to believe in BF too. A long time ago. I used to think that "Patty" was irrefutable proof.
But reading, listening, spending time stomping around the woods in searches that found nothing (and sometimes within a day of a "reported sighting"), and talking with outdoorsmen and hunters who have logged far more time than I ever will in the forests of the PACNW, I've become a skeptic.
I believe that BF is the PACNW counterpart to the European were-wolf, the Viking Beowulf, the Eastern Canadian version of giant cannabils, the shapeshifters of the SW; they're all tales told around campfires to keep the listener tuned in and turned on. They were to our ancestors what Freddy Kruger and Jason are to later generations, thrilling tales of fictional horrors that kept us awake as children.
And no, BF does not live in the farming and dairy lands of Tennessee. Never did, never will.

Well, Mary is very old, and the last thing I want to do is give her a heart attack, even though she apparently does not have the same concern for my health or well being.
This could make a really good film! Jack Black (in drag) fighting off cougars and elk in east Tennessee, while tossing out Snickers and dog treats to attract Bigfoot. Bigfoot will have some sexy scenes in bed with a local farm lady (played by Omar Shariff, also in drag), while Kate Beckinsale races around topless in an old Camaro (Dukes of Hazzard style), being chased by the Sheriff, played by Luke Perry, or any of those other B actors who'll take any role they can get.
We won't actually need a script. We can largely just use the narrative above which has enough laughs to keep a demographic of dope-smoking 16 to 24 year olds laughing nonstop for the required 89 minutes.

I conducted an experiment in the woods where no one could see me. I took off my shirt for about 10 minutes and sat in the forest to see if a lack of clothing would cause the BSs to be more comfortable and possibly approach me close enough for me to actually see them. At the time that this happened I still considered that there may be some BSs there, and as the reason for my trip was to see one for myself, I explored all avenues of contact that I considered reasonable.
Yep. Thats why I told her to post the films. But she wont, because she cant, because she has no definitive film showing a clear BS. If she did, posting it would be the fastest way of getting them protected.

I found the "eyeshine" funny. It looked to me like someone holding two lights up because it was kind of bouncy, like someone holding something, especially holding it up high for height effect. Most folks don't have a truly steady hand, especially if say they have something stretched high they're clicking on and off or opening and closing. And that's what it looked like to me.
It means exactly what it looks like. Those arent BFs, they are BSs, an old term put to a new use, to indicate my opinion that any claimed Sasquatch encounter in a human inhabited area is in all probability BS.
