Yes. I find it disconcerting myself on many levels. About 2 weeks ago I had the encounter.
1. The sighting was from a moving car (approximately 40mph) on a local highway 2. The distance was about 100ft+ 3. It was Sunny, Clear, and cool 4. The sighting couldn't have lasted more than 3-4 seconds.
What I saw was a long, (6-8ft nose to tip of tail) slender, relatively tall 30-32" at the shoulder, black feline. It was not heavily built. It was walking the perimeter of a corral (used for sheep).
I was the only person in the car who saw the beast. I have not be able to get any corroborating sightings for the area. I'm currently researching the sighting and the area in general for anomalous felids.
Unfortunately that's all I got. Very unsatisfying.
I'm going back to the area soon(ish) to finish the reconstruction work, maybe I can dig up more.
Best,

If you opened this up for discussion in 'Big Cats', it would be interesting. Have you thought about reporting it? |
