I've saved the site so I can do it justice & read it thoroughly.

Only once have I ever read of pygmies in Australia, I can't remember where but it was something noted in passing that made it sound as though they were recent negrito immigrants (really recent, like in the 19th century).

Reminds me how, one day when I was browsing the storage stacks in my college's library, I picked up a bound volume of magazines from the 1850's and read an article that 'proved' that African pygmies didn't exist.

Keith Windshuttle has an agenda. He's a controversial right wing writer/academic/historian who seems to have some problem with aboriginal people. Some of his theories may have some merit, while others have been discredited.

For what it's worth the people in the group photo certainly look 'australoid' (Australian Aboriginal), not 'negroid' to me.
