I think the US has spent about $100,000 per goat herder.

As in Vietnam, we could probably have bought them off for less than it cost to kill them.

If we invested all the effrt and wealth now employed to destroy and thus lower the general standard of living unto peacefully solving the actual problems, we'll maybe get somewhere. Maybe we'd even survive.

Theres a small group of people that will rather obliterate everyone, before they would agree to lower their standard of living.

All these posts and I thought someone would have gotten the correct answer by now. Robot goats with lazers for eyes are the answer, imagine the Taliban thinking it will be just another day of herding and fighting with Nato forces only to find out the great satin has replaced their goat herds with killer robot goats able to communicate and reason among themselves. My guess is the war would be over in about 3 days and a successful western style democracy in place and functioning shortly afterwords.

LOL! That could be a sequel to "Team America, Word Police."

They could call it "Team America: Spottswoode's New Plan." The tagline could read, "the livestock are making dead stock."

That could be sequel to "The Men Who At Goats"!!!!!!!!

I think Cheech Marin would make a great bin Laden. If Cheech would be unavailable, I would opt for Rowan Atkinson. And for Mullah Muhammad Omar, I'm thinking Will Ferrell or Jeff Goldblum.

I'm sensing an Oscar..............
