Subject: Greedy capitalists stealing Venezuelan water for swimming pools From: KodiakKeith posted Tue, Nov 3 2009, 12:38pm  This takes the cake! Venezuelan President-for-life Hugo Chavez, socialist champion of the poor and economic genius who oversees his nations vast oil wealth, can't provide water or electricity to his nations capital city. Never mind that he has all the oil needed to generate power and all the money required to build power plants, and forgetting for the moment that Caracas lies at the confluence of several large rivers that can supply all the water necessary... So, what's the problem? It's those damned capitalists and their swimming pools and toasters and what-have-you! Yes, those greedy bastids are the ones responsible. It has nothing to do with Hugo's socialist mismanagement (is that an oxymoron?) of the economy and neglect of basic infrastructure required to pump water out of river and treat it for use... Both systems kill the middle class equally as well. That is why his post is so laughable, if it was Haliburton doing this somewhere in the states, it would be okay dokey and full speed for the heroes of industry. He does weird shit like hand out free Viagra to old men, but when it's time to build a power or water treatment plant that actually takes organization and planning then, well, it's time to blame them damned capitalists!
