Subject: Lazy people and their dvrs! They watch the commercials! From: Cisco posted Mon, Nov 2 2009, 1:24pm  A study shows that about half the people that record shows with dvrs, watch the commercials. The industry was up in arms recently over the threat that dvrs posed - which allows people to "zap" commercials. But it turns out that dvrs are helping tv, because people end up watching more shows, and don't get discouraged in a series by missing shows. Unfortunately, I'm not a team player, and I usually zap the commercials. Sometimes I forget though, and I sit there thinking "damn this is an irritating commercial...." and then realize "oh, why am I watching the commercials!". I love my dvr, it gets all the shows that I'm interested in, and I don't worry about "the time" anymore. I watch my shows when I'm ready. My current favorite is "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" - damn is that show rude and over the top! I like it.
