Very strange image captured in South Texas.

Wow, that is strange. I know it looks like this but sort of like that. The deer seem to not be afraid at all.

well, the deer probably go to that spot everyday, note the feeder in the pic.

Could be a racoon...

Good call on that TKD, after enlarging the picture and lightening it up it does resemble a raccoon, i'm sold. It would also explain why the deer are not afraid.

The tree... it's a knot hole where a branch was removed... see the thing that looks like a tail... it's a branch with twigs on it...sigh, good try, no cigar.

can you link to where this pic is in a better resolution/larger file? obviously posting it degraded the details, we can't even read half of the red text at the bottom.

so yeah, like this it's too blurry to say, but i'm going with "illusion, just part of the tree" for now.

You mean, that three-legged critter that looks like a kind of tower or wathever?. It is an old, rusted War of the Worlds machine...

clemente, that's the deer/game feeder (which explains the calm deer, they probably hang out there often). totally looks like a "tripod" style alien device, lol.

Luna, you may think that is what it is. However, back in he early 1940's a fleet of these things landed in Europe - Clemente has photos - and it took us several weeks to deal with them. Fortunately, we were successful, but in the USA the danger was not recognised.

In the naturally-occurring form, energy from the ground is picked up by the leg at the left of the picture, known as the "collector", and emitted by the one on the right having been modulated into high frequency brain rays by the oscillations of insects flying near the leg nearest to the camera - called the "base".

These brain rays cause people living within a few hundred km to develop delusions of world domination and a desire to kill things.

Smaller versions of these devices now control the world. Take care.

oi! dick, i should have known! blame my young-in-years status, i never believed those old monsters were real! the US government has invested much in pulling the wool over the eyes of my generation ;) ! but i heard a war of the worlds broadcast on NPR tonight in the car and realized how i'd been lied too, lol.

p.s. hope you had a most happy all hallows eve!

I've never been a hunter, but I hear these stories of guys trekking mile after mile through the woods just hoping to track down a deer. All I ever find evidence of, though, is guys with trail cams, baiting stations, and hunting from the bed of a truck.

Really need a better, larger copy of the pic to say anything for certain. Bear cub, maybe?
