I have no idea where this thing should go...I'm guess amphibians.
Its only a matter of time before this is proven to be real or HOPEFULLY fake.
Either way, here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcKpx2DxGwY
Its of some kind of...jelly like brain/heart thing...I dunno...reminds me of the Zerg from Starcraft or something out of Aliens. I'm really hoping its fake, I immediately felt uncomfortable and ultimately disturbed by the video.
they were found in a North Carolina sewer, some responses on the video say that they are a bunch of worms put together due to lack of soil, however....It doesn't visually look like an actual thing of worms. The whole thing moves together. Simply disturbing.
take a look, I'd really like to hear some theories and opinions.
and if its fake, for the love of god, say so and prove it. I'm really hoping it is...yeessh...gives me chills. |

Okay,
found a good explanation, at least best one so far:
Bryozoans
Bryozoans are tiny colonial animals that are fairly common in lakes and streams with suitable habitat. Different species form colonies that range in appearance from delicate wispy moss-like growths to basketball-size gelatinous masses. Each colony is made of many individual creatures called "zooids." Zooids are microscopic cylindrical creatures with a mouth, digestive tract, muscles, and nerve centers. The zooids are covered by a protective matrix which may be delicate, hard, or gelatinous depending on the species. They feed by filtering tiny algae and protozoa through a crown of tentacles (lophophore). Bryozoan colonies grow by budding from the adult zooids. New colonies will establish from a free-swimming, microscopic larval stage or by growth of dormant spore-like "statoblasts." Most Bryozoans live in salt water, and of the 20 or so freshwater species found in North America, most are found in warm-water regions attached to plants, logs, rocks and other firm substrates. The forms most likely encountered in the northwest are translucent, brownish-gray, jelly-like masses that look like they have little black dots |

Found that on Wiki, a possible better explanation. The whole creating a protective cyst part it truly gross, but possibly that is what we are seeing in the video. |

yup, bryozoans. this kind of thing happens every couple of years and it's always reported as a 'monster' or at least an 'unknown creature'. that was my reaction the first time i saw one in a texas pond, too - that one didn't move though. it was one of the hard and crusty type. i think if it had pulsated like this i would have been pretty freaked out by it. i really don't know why the average person is so unaware of bryozoans, but they are just another known colonial life form. hey, cryptid or not, it's cool enough for me.

And this is what i get. Strange bi-pedal hominid? No. Large Serpentine sea creature sinking ships in the outer banks? Um.. No. Soaring bird of prey resembling a prehistoric beast terrorizing countryside? Survey says... XXX.
Show them what we have!!
Disgusting mass of single celled organisms having an orgy in the apartment complex's gothically creepy sewer system like some pulsating zerg overmind.
God, i love the south.
Although, Blizzard has pulled some pretty neat pranks in the past. |
