The “Goatman” is a term applied to a mystery biped in Maryland.
Covered with hair, red eyes, and the lower part like a goat. It is also reported to make squeals and kill animals.
Primary reports started in the 1950’s around the Prince George and Calvert Counties in Maryland.
Like other regional reports, popularized by catchy monikers, was “Goatman” a mix of cultural implications as well as an actual mystery biped. After all Maryland does have a history of “Bigfoot” type reports.
For more info. It would be good to try and get hold of Mark Opsasnick’s 1994 article "On the Trail of the Goatman" that appeared in Strange Magazine Issue 14.
