It's the box below the message box when you respond to a post or begin a topic.
Just click on the "browse" button, navigate to the folder where you keep the image you want to post (whether it be on your hard drive, or a thumb drive, or wherever), double-click on the image, or open it, and it will appear in the box above the browse button. You can also place words beneath the image by adding them to the "caption box" which is located to the lower right of the "image box". After you hit the "submit post entry" button, your image will appear in your post below whatever you wrote in the message box. There has to be something in the message box, or the program will tell you to put something there. If you want only to post an image with no words, type the following into the message box:
The program will accept that as text without posting it. (Note: I did have one occasion when the program would not post my image without regular text. I don't know why).
There are a few restrictions: the image must be a jpg, png, gif, or bmp, and cannot be larger than 100k in size. If you don't know what that means, I'm sure one of your computer savvy children will be able to explain it clearly for you.
And your very welcome. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. |

I have never had a problem with posting by following the directions in your first paragraph. I've always done it that way. It just won't let me do it that way now for some reason.
And I have had to make all my pics smaller because my new digital camera makes the pics huge.
And I understand the jpg. gif. lingo.
I have posted several pics since Cisco changed over, I just don't know why I can't post pics now. =( |

You can always set your camera to take smaller images, though I prefer them huge; they're easier to photoshop that way, and making them smaller is no big deal.
I'm not sure why the images won't load for you.
I had no problems loading one I found on a humor site some years ago. It's 93K and over 700 pixels wide.
You might need to consult a computer guru.

Try reducing the size of images to 400 pixels wide, and use some computer software to re-save the images as jpgs. It seems that some cameras use some new kind of jpg format, and these new formats are not understood by the graphics library on the server.
"JPEG" is really a set of a variety of image formats. |
