Subject: Since when can we not embed videos??
From: LadyGreenEyes posted Mon, Sep 28 2009, 10:47pm
Just attempted to embed a video and got a message that I could not do so. Then, when I tried posting a simple link to the same video, I got a message that it was not valid. Finally, ended up with the following:

"Sorry, but it appears you have triggered a security alert.
This happens when the request you made to this server contained some kind of malicious code or commands.
If you were posting some information, it may have had something in it that seemed suspicious to the server.

What's the deal with embedding now? Is this something we can't do, or is this some error?

The new server has a set of very complex security algorithms. It seems that anything with "embed" or "object" in a tag will cause the server to initiate banning procedures against the user. Until I have time to examine, study, and understand these security measures, I'm going to have to leave them in place.

Figured it was some kink with the new servers. They do seem much faster, and less buggy, though, so all in all an improvement.
