Subject: Has the original Labyrinth been found?
From: Stu posted Fri, Oct 16 2009, 12:46pm
Archaeologists shed new light on the inspiration for the Greek myth.

The caves, which are known locally as the Labyrinthos Caves, consist of about two and half miles of interlocking tunnels with widened chambers and dead-end rooms.

Knossos seemed far too showy, convenient & safe a bet. And the bottled water was far too expensive. Like the Atlantis 'myth', the labyrinth one has more than a few decent candidates. I'd like to visit this place when I return to Crete.

Minos had flushing toilets in the palace, tho. Sanitation goes a long way you know.

I love that damned movie. David Bowie and all.

That would be a cool place to visit. Claustrophobic, but cool none the less.

Had no doubts, as a teen, that I was straight after seeing David Bowie in that movie. I don't think I need to explain myself, LOL. And I have an original movie poster(no reprint for me) framed and hanging in my bedroom.
