Half of All Shadows Aren't Real Shadows
by Clifton Coyne, boarhunter178@yahoo.com
posted on October 22, 2004
He had heard it once
And he had heard it twice
Half of all shadows aren't real shadows
He had wondered why
And pondered how
Half of all shadows aren't real shadows
Now he knew
And wished that he didn't because
Half of all shadows aren't real shadows
So as he lay on the ground
And loaded his shotgun he remembered
Half of all shadows aren't real shadows
As the sun rose high
And the moon disappeared he thought
Half of all shadows aren't real shadows
When he fired once
And he fired twice he saw that
Half of all shadows aren't real shadows
When it tackled him
And it scratched his body he cried
Half of all shadows aren't real shadows
He tried to throw it off
And tried to stab it he yelled
Half of all shadows aren't real shadows
As it hit the dirt
And lashed out with its claws he screamed
Half of all shadows aren't real shadows
But when he fired his weapon
And it slashed him deep his last thought was
Shunka Warak'in lives...
...and has and will forever.
